Keep discussion relevant
Use the community for video editing, motion design, post-production, portfolios, professional development, collaboration, and genuine work opportunities. Avoid unrelated forwards, chain messages, political arguments, betting, multi-level marketing, and repeated promotions.
Search or read recent conversations before posting the same question. If you solved a problem, share the solution so the next editor can learn from it.
Ask clear questions
Technical questions should include the software version, system, media, settings, exact problem, and troubleshooting already attempted. Feedback requests should explain the audience, platform, brief, and the part of the edit being reviewed.
Do not demand private tutoring from a member who answered one question. Respect time zones, working hours, and the fact that participation is voluntary.
Give respectful feedback
Discuss the work, not the person. Explain what you observed and connect it to the goal of the video. Separate objective clarity problems from personal taste. Harassment, insults, discrimination, threats, and targeted humiliation are not acceptable.
Post opportunities with real information
Job and project posts should state the format, deliverables, approximate scope, timeline, required skill, payment or budget, revision expectations, and application process. Do not disguise unpaid work as an urgent hiring process or promise guaranteed income.
Editors should read the complete brief before responding. Clients should avoid mass unpaid samples and should not ask applicants to pay a registration fee to receive work.
Confirm project and payment terms independently
The community provides a place to connect; it is not an employer, agency, escrow service, or guarantor. Editors and clients are responsible for checking one another and agreeing written scope, payment, rights, confidentiality, deadlines, revisions, and delivery.
Use sensible milestones, deposits, invoices, or watermarked approval copies when appropriate. Do not rely on a group member’s presence as proof of identity or ability to pay.
Protect privacy and client work
Do not publish another member’s phone number, profile photo, messages, portfolio, rate, or personal information outside the group without permission. Do not share private client footage, unreleased campaigns, contracts, passwords, download links, or project files unless you are authorised to do so.
Remove sensitive information from screenshots before requesting help.
Respect copyright and licences
Share only software, footage, music, fonts, templates, plugins, project files, and other assets that you own or have permission to distribute. Linking to an official free resource is different from re-uploading a paid resource.
Credit collaborators accurately and never present another editor’s work as your own.
Moderation
Moderators may remove content or restrict participation when behaviour harms the usefulness or safety of the community. Serious or repeated spam, harassment, impersonation, piracy, privacy violations, scams, or misleading opportunities may result in removal without extended debate.
Guidelines may change as the community grows. The current version will remain published on this page.

Frequently asked questions
Can members promote video editing services?
Relevant self-promotion may be allowed when it is concise, honest, and not repeatedly posted. Follow any frequency rules communicated by community moderators.
Are cracked software and paid templates allowed?
No. Do not request or distribute pirated software, stolen templates, paid plugins, fonts, music, footage, or other assets without redistribution rights.
Are jobs posted in the community verified?
Not necessarily. Members must independently check clients, editors, project terms, files, links, payment arrangements, and requests for personal information.
